HARRY HANNAM, MEGA JOB IN THE ROTAX MAX CHALLENGE UAE OPENING ROUND.
October 17, 2021CRAZY WEATHER SLOWS DOWN OUR ACADEMY SQUAD.
January 21, 2022The one just ended has been a very long and intense racing week end. At Al Ain Raceway our 4 drivers line up has attended the first double header of the RMC UAE (Round 2 and 3) season 2021-2022. With an entry list that was counting more then 70 competitors, our drivers worked very hard the whole week end to succeed in their own category.
In the Mini Max category, the driver from Sri Lanka Reaan Dharmadasa suffered for the whole RD2 a lack of performance due to some engine issue and a not comfortable set up: an accident in the Heat and two penalties collected in the Pre Final and Final, forced our driver to close the Round 2 only in P9. The day after, Reaan tried his best to improve the pace and with the help of the mechanics scored twice P5 in Pre Final and Final as a confirm of his high potential.
In the Junior Max category, the British driver Harry Hannam showed once again a stunning performance, leading the Round 2 Final, only to be taken out on the last lap and forced him to take the chequered flag in 5th. Unstoppable in the Round 3 Final, pushed home by rival Danny Sheilds to take Harrys first win of the season. A very solid performance all over the weekend, walked away with a massive haul of points taking Harry to the top of the overall championship standings.
For our “flying lady” Sofia Necchi the whole week end has been plenty of ups and downs with a P6 scored in the R2 Final and a DNF for electrical issues in the R3 one. A big shame for her who worked very hard with the technical staff to get as close as possible to the top 5 drivers.
In the DD2 category very good performance for the Indian Aly Raza Beig who, despite is rookie status, has set so very interesting lap times and has been able to fight for the TOP 10 in most of the heats. For him a P15 and P14 in the two Finals with a big room to improve in the next rounds of the season.
After 3 rounds since the start of the season, Kart Advisor Academy is leading the Junior category with Harry Hannam and is now looking forward the a very intense January 2022 where the CL drivers will be attending the Round 4 and the prestigious O Plate.
