KART ADVISOR ACADEMY ON TOP OF JUNIOR CATEGORY AT THE INVITATIONAL ROTAX
September 19, 2021MAIDEN VICTORY FOR KART ADVISOR ACADEMY.
November 11, 2021The Rotax Max Challenge 2021-2022 season kicked off last weekend at the Al Ain circuit with a full entry list (71 drivers) and a lot of racing emotions during the whole weekend. Kart Advisor Academy team attended the first round of the new season with a 4 driver line up chasing a podium in the Mini, Junior and DD2 categories. In the Mini the 11 year old driver from Sri Lanka Reaan Dharmadasa faced some set up issue during the qualy session and a couple of racing contacts that knocked him out from the podium fight. The 7th spot scored in the Final was not the result his pace deserved, especially after the 4th place achieved in the Pre Final. In the hyper-competitive Junior category the British driver Harry Hannam showed once again his braveness and driving skills stepping onto the podium (2nd) in the Final and gaining the second spot in the overall standing too. For the former Mini Max champion the weekend started with some setting problems solved later on thanks to the hard work of the team technicians and the detailed feedback from the driver.
For the flying lady Sofia Necchi the opening race of the season would not be remembered as one of the luckiest. After a bad qualy (P14), Sofia tried her best to come back but the DNS collected in the Pre Final for a snapped chain compromised the Final too. Despite such bad luck Sofia made an incredible come back in the Final (from P20 to P8) scoring some important points for the championship.
Last but not least the Indian driver Aly Raza Beig made a very successful debut in the DD2 category. Without any practice before the race, Aly was able to perform remarkably well despite the lack of knowledge of his new kart and what it could produce. In all three races the Indian driver improved his pace being able to reach almost TOP 10 overall. Big room to improve for him, with a long season to go, that makes himself and the whole team confident of the future results.
The next Rotax Max Challenge UAE event (R2 & R3) will take place the first week end of November at Al Ain Raceway.
