February 7, 2022HARRY HANNAM ON THE RMC UAE PODIUM 2021-2022.
April 5, 2022The RMC UAE Round 7 took place in the stunning venue of Al Forsan (Abu Dhabi). The technical track based next to the UAE capital has hosted a new RMC challenge with a lot of drivers committed to the victory in each category. Our team lined up 4 drivers, all of them hungry to get the best result possible. In the Mini Max category Reaan Dharmadasa has been very focused and hard in his battles and only a racing contact with another driver at the start of the Final kicked him out from the podium battle. After a stunning start (from P6 to P2) the kid from Sri Lanka spun during the first lap compromising the whole race and missing the chance to fight for the podium until the chequered flag. Big shame for him who really deserved a great result after a very great week end. In the Junior category the best driver in the standing has been Harry Hannam, who ended up 4th overall at the end of a week end not easy for some set up issues which have forced him to miss the battle for the victory. By the way Harry is still in the championship podium battle and he will get his chance in the final double header in Al Ain. Very great performance for Sofia Necchi who had some bad luck after scoring a great P7 in the heat. In the Pre Final the flying lady got fitted during the formation lap and during her comeback had a contact with another driver which effected her with a 5 sec penalty at the end of the race. In the Final, starting from P21, Sofia made a very impressive come back scoring P12 but showing an equal pace of the front runners. For our third Junior driver Marc Bassier, who made is debut on the Al Forsan track, the week end has been not very easy due to the hard battles on track. Penalized twice (Heat and Final), Marc scored P18 in the final heat making some good moves and improving race by race his lap time.
