A VERY INTENSE START OF THE SEASON

The 2024-2025 season of the Rotax Max Challenge UAE kicked off last weekend at the Al Ain track, featuring nearly 100 drivers competing in intense and exciting races. Our team entered the competition with 7 drivers divided into 3 different categories (Micro, Junior, and Senior). The best result on Saturday was achieved by Reaan Dharmadasa, who secured pole position in qualifying and finished P2 in a race where he led for 3/4 of the laps. Fast Ben Karajkovic finished P10 after an impressive comeback from the back of the grid, having suffered a DNF in the Pre-Final. Enea Sacchi also had a strong recovery to finish in fifteenth place, while it was a more challenging race for Tamim Ehab, Selim Farahat, Bassel Traboulsi, and Daniel Mohajeri, who finished P24, P26, P30, and P31 due to multiple contacts on the track.

In Sunday’s races, the best-placed driver was Ben, who finished P4, just missing out on the podium. Meanwhile, Reaan had a challenging day and could only manage a P13. Enea faced misfortune as an innocent victim of an accident, while Tamim was unable to qualify for the Final. Selim, Daniel, and Bassel finished P29, P28, and P21, respectively.

The level of competition has risen significantly, so it will be important for the stewards to maintain a higher level of vigilance regarding on-track contacts.”
