DUBAI BITTER FOR THE KART ADVISOR ACADEMY DRIVERS.
January 23, 2023GREAT DEBUT FOR OUR DRIVERS AT YAS MARINA.
February 18, 2023The 2023 edition of the Dubai O Plate took place at Dubai Kartdrome right one week after the RD4 RMC UAE and has hosted many drivers coming specifically from abroad to attend this karting kermesse. our team lined up 3 drivers in 3 different categories: Reaan Dharmadasa (Mini Max), Jeffrey Tachajian (Micro Max) and Marc Bassier (Junior Max). The week end started perfectly for the Sri Lanka kids Reaan who set the pole position during the qualy scoring a P1, a P2 and a DNF (technical problem) in the 3 following heats. In The Pre Final Reaan pushed from P5 to P3 while in the Final he had to fight pretty hard again Bobrashov and Peruzzi ending right behind them under the chequered flag. Unfortunately to a scruteeniring non compliance procedure he has been disqualified.
Marc Bassier, after the not brilliant week end (RD4 RMC UAE) came back on track full of good vibes but ha had to struggle after an ideal qualy and a crash during the second heat. By the way in The Final he managed to score a P16 with a good come back.
Jeffrey Tachajian, hitted the track for his second race ever of his career and he made some more steps forward scoring a P11, first Novice, setting some very good lap times.
Paolo Necchi (Team principal): ” To be honest we are pretty disappointed for what happened with Reaan but it was our fault so nothing to say. We were extra quick with him the whole week end so our 3rd place was the minimum result we could have scored. Anyway he is in Avery perfect shape so he will come back again. We are happy about Jeffrey and his progresses while with Marc we need to work a bit more to bring him back on the right pace.”
